In bad shape last night, I thought it was the end for me. Special Thanks to The Dr and Nurses on staff you brought me back from the abyss. Thank you, I am grateful.

I truly am very sorry for everyone who has had a bad experience with the hospital. My experience was just the opposite. I went in yesterday to the ER not knowing what was wrong - basic symptom - chronic diarrhea. They ran all kinds of tests, were very helpful and kind (everyone who came into the room said they hoped I felt better soon) and within several hours I had a diagnosis and was on my way home. I couldn't have asked for any better treatment. (The floor in my room was still damp when I entered as they had just cleaned it.)

I went to Tennova ER on Sat 6/23 and had a excellent experience. I had an accident while hiking and needed stitches due to a large cut to my lower leg. The check-in process was very efficient and they moved me into Fast Track within 10 minutes. Jenny PA was exceptional. She thoroughly cleaned the wound while explaining what she was doing. She also did a beautiful job of stitching up the wound. She was exceptionally patient and answered all my friends' questions during the entire procedure. Through the entire experience I felt comfortable and cared for. My room and the area we traveled though was very clean. I don't understand the number of negative reviews on this site and the rumors I've heard about this place. I did not find this hospital to be less than like I would have expected from what I've heard. Oh, I don't want to forget to mention Hayden Patient Access Specialist. While gathering my personal info and insurance details, though he was efficient and to the point, his touch of humor made our evening. Based on my experience I would recommend this hospital if yo are in this area and need care.

After reading all the negative reviews on Tennova, I was very apprehensive when my wife was scheduled for a Stress Echocardiography at their Cardiac Center. It was done by caring, professional people, who stopped the test early when she began experiencing distress. The situation they found warranted a quick call to her Cardiologist, Dr. Hady Lichaa. By then my wife was headed for the parking lot and one of the technicians chased her down to say that Dr. Lichaa wanted to see her immediately. She then went to his office in the medical building next door. By then Dr. Lichaa had received the results of the stress test and he scheduled her for a Cardiac Catheterization the next day, with the possibility of inserting a stent. All of the pre-op iinstructions were clear. The procedure was to be done the following afternoon. That next day I drove her to Tennova and waited with her as she was being prepped in the Cardiac Center. The staff there was as friendly and nice, as well as professional, as any could be, and they did everything possible to make us comfortable. Appropriate jokes, laughter, and conversation lowered our stress levels considerably. Then she was wheeled to the Cardiac Catheterization room for the procedure. I stayed in the waiting area until Dr. Lichaa came out and said that everything went well; there was a blockage that he was able to remove without needing a stent. It took some time before she could be released to a room on the 4th floor. The nurses and staff on that floor were both nice and considerate, occasionally checking to see when she would be brought up. She finally made it, accompanied by several of those who assisted with the procedure. She was swarmed by nurses who explained what they were doing and why. She stayed overnight and said the food and care were fine. The next day I brought her home and she told of events during the procedure. She was conscious during the whole thing and she said the staff could have done stand-up comedy, which definitely took her mind off of the seriousness of the procedure. All of this was done in a good way, not an indifferent way. So, I’m giving Tennova five stars because of the way we were made to feel that my wife was in good hands, as she must have been.

I am personally not sure of why so many bad reviews, but we had a very positive experience. My mother had to come here through ER numerous times for the past several years and we always were well received and well taken care off. Nurses and doctors were always kind and fast, administration and registration teams were always friendly and prompt to help. And from from my whole family thank you Tenova team in Cleveland TN for saving our moms life.

Everyone in Dr McCurry office was very nice. Before I had my papers filled out to see him. They called me back. I loved the way Dr. McCurry explains everything to me ! I would tell anyone to see him.

I've had many treatments here and never had a bad experience. However I also understand how hospitals work and how triage works. The money issues people complain about are higher up than the hospital and due to Obamacare all hospitals have this problem, at least the ones that managed to stay open. Tennova is a chain of hospitals, so they are just following the rules made for them. And I'm sure you've had a co-worker not show up to work and/or not want to be at work before, well it happens at hospitals too. It's just like every other business. You could drive to Erlanger because your impatient and want to be seen before the actual emergencies that come in the back door and yes you probably will be seen quicker; that's mostly due to Erlanger being many times larger and has a lot more employees therefore they can have a section for walk-ins. Whenever you go there you will also pay the same upfront costs and will be billed more, remember they have to pay more people a higher salary to live in a more expensive city. My point is these nurses and doctors are people too. And they watch bad things happen to good people and people die every day while working in the most stressful environment outside of the military. Nurses are violently attacked by patients every day. I bet 99% of the people that rate 1-3 stars couldn't make it in the medical field and probably don't understand exactly how things work or how hard it is. People need to realize how lucky they are to have a hospital near them, period. A lot of these people in the reviews should have gone to an urgent care because their injury could be suitably treated there rather than try and squeeze into the ER.

In the past I have not had good experiences with the ER, however recently my husband was sick and I found they have greatly improved speed and the level of care. I want to say thank you to the staff at Tennova in Cleveland, TN. You were all wonderful and provided excellent care to my sick husband when he was admitted for muscle weakness and breathing trouble.

I know first hand this hospital can be frustrating, but last night I received the most exceptional care from them, in a true emergency situation. I went in last night with the worst head ache I've ever had in my life. I was screaming and crying with my bp sky high from the pain, it was 148/104. They immediately triaged me, and got my history, and immediately took me back to a room, the man , named josh came in and got some more history, reassuring me the whole time I was fine, leaving the lights out, and talking very softly to me. The doctor was in to see me almost immediately, and checked me out, ordered my meds and scans on my head. I maybe had to wait 10 more minutes, for the nurse ( Zac) to come with an iv and my meds, he was very gentle and didn't hurt me one time , thru inserting it and removing it. The people from ct came very fast, and the doctor came back very fast to let me know the scan was fine, he made sure I was in no more pain after the combo of meds ( torradol, benadryl, and something for naseua) and they discharged me very quickly. This was my best experience with this hospital, and they deserve credit. I know that it's not always this way, sometimes they're slow, sometimes nurses and doctors are mean, but I feel that happens with any hospital, even erlanger. When I truly needed tennova, they were there for me. To the man named josh that triaged me, to the nurse practioner ( I can't remember his name) to the nurse Zac, to the guy who came to get me for ct. Thank you all so much. I am so grateful

Tennova gave me excellent care and found out what was wrong with me and was able to diagnose me after Erlanger failed to do so with the same tests showing the same information. I am not getting needed treatment for my condition and know how to handle it and what to do to stay safe. The nurses were kind, profession and prompt. The Dr'say gave superior care. Thank you Tennova

The staff that treated me in the ER were wonderful. I didn't have to wait any longer than 15 minutes for any step of the process. Thanks Amber, Shawnda, Christy, Ken, & Eric. You guys did a wonderful job.

I am currently still in Tennova Hospital. I have to say that the ER was fast. Stayed down there maybe 2 hrs having several test. Was admitted and was brought to my room quickly. I have had very polite nurses every shift. I'm in room 309, and one nurse her name is Rebecca, I just love her. My night nurse Deanna, is a dream. All have made me comfortable and addressed every issue I had. This visit is and was a 100% positive experience.

Thank you so much for your care last Wennesday night (October 19). In the ER Dr. Morgan was very thorough, and her sense of humor helped ease the tension in an uncertain situation. Valerie was one of the kindest and most compassionate nurses I have ever encountered. 3rd Floor nursing and staff went out of their way in meeting my every need. I know you have a very difficult job! I just want you to know I appreciate the quality care I received! Sincerely, Sheila Schriver
